DEERFIELD BEACH MIDDLE SCHOOL

IB World School

Working Together to Prepare Students for College and Career Success

Hello Parents, Students, and Community Members,

Welcome to a new school year! I am excited about working with you. In addition to the quality education that will occur in the classroom, Deerfield Beach Middle School has numerous extra-curricular activities and sports.

The school theme for 2016- 2017 school year is “Together: We Are a Family”.

Hellen Keller states, “Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much”. The vision of Deerfield Beach Middle School is that all students meet and exceed mastery, which is a high expectation. However, this can only be accomplished through teamwork and collaboration. Our students, faculty, administration, non-instructional employees, parents and community members comprise the DBMS family, and together we work to meet our school goals.

Deerfield Beach Middle School is fortunate to have one magnet program, International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program, that prepares students to be global leaders by providing them with a framework of learning that encourages students to become creative, critical and reflective thinkers. Additionally, we have increased the number of high school credit courses and there will be more students enrolled in our World Language courses.

I look forward to meeting you. Please contact me with any questions or concerns, I am more than happy to assist you.

With Great Junior Buck Pride,

Francine Baugh, Principal
